CachePal Watch support

Most issues can be fixed directly on the watch. Start with the topic below, or email us with a concise bug report.

Quick reset

When something looks behind

Open CachePal, wait a few seconds for local reconciliation, and revisit the screen. Restarting the watch can also restore a delayed watch service without deleting your Pal.

Protect your Pal

Do not clear storage or uninstall as a troubleshooting step unless you intend to erase all local game data.

Trail Bond and steps

  1. Open More → Trail Bond, turn it on, and approve Physical activity when Wear OS asks.
  2. On Apple Watch, open More → Trail Bond → Enable Trail Bond and choose whether to allow Steps in Apple Health. If no readable data is available, gameplay stays available.
  3. Trail Bond awards Strength at daily milestones. It never penalizes your Pal for an inactive day.
  4. Step updates can arrive in batches. Open CachePal and use Sync now if the displayed progress appears behind.
  5. If permission is denied, open the watch’s app permissions for CachePal and allow Physical activity.
  6. Turning Trail Bond off stops new readings and clears pending platform observations. Earned Strength remains.

Care alerts

  1. Open More → Care alerts to enable or adjust local reminders.
  2. Allow notifications for CachePal in the watch’s notification settings if alerts are missing.
  3. Battery-saving settings and a powered-off watch can delay local alerts. Opening CachePal refreshes current care state.

Tile and complication

  1. On Wear OS, add the CachePal Tile from the watch’s Tile editor for a quick status surface.
  2. Add a CachePal complication from your watch-face editor where the selected face supports it.
  3. If a surface looks stale, tap it to open CachePal and refresh the local snapshot.

Pal DNA

  1. Open your Pal’s identity screen and choose Share DNA to create a CP1 code and secure watch.cachepal.com link.
  2. A CP1 code shares immutable identity only. Care, age, points, items, history, Strength, and fitness data do not transfer.
  3. To use a received code, choose Collection → Import DNA. CachePal validates the code before asking you to confirm.

Delete local data

  1. To erase everything, open Wear OS Settings → Apps → CachePal → Storage & cache → Clear storage, or uninstall CachePal.
  2. On Apple Watch, remove CachePal to erase the app’s local save. CachePal has no cloud restore. System-managed backups follow Apple’s settings.
  3. This permanently removes local Pals, care state, Strength, milestones, items, history, and settings from the watch.

Optional creator support

Tips, receipts, and refunds

On Wear OS, CachePal's optional tip opens a Stripe-hosted checkout on your paired phone. The checkout currently identifies the merchant as Big Bwain, the public business name on the developer's Stripe account, and identifies the payment as an Optional CachePal creator tip.

Tips are voluntary, one-time payments. They do not buy or unlock Pals, content, items, badges, Pal Points, Strength, status, features, recognition, or gameplay advantages. CachePal remains fully playable without a tip. A tip is not a charitable donation and is not represented as tax-deductible.

Open More → Tip the creator, review the disclosures, and tap Open tip page. Only an adult or someone authorized to use the payment method should submit a tip. Stripe—not the watch app—handles the email address, chosen amount, billing information, and payment details. The watch app cannot tell whether you pay or cancel, and either choice leaves your game unchanged.

If you only opened the page and did not complete payment, there is nothing to refund. Stripe receipts are sent to the email address used at checkout and do not appear in Google Play purchase history.

If you tipped by mistake, were charged twice, do not recognize a charge, need a receipt, or want a refund, email support@cachepal.com within 30 calendar days from the email address used at checkout. Include the payment date, amount, currency, and Stripe receipt or transaction identifier if available. Never send a full card number, card security code, bank-account number, bank password, or other payment credential.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method. After a refund is issued, Stripe says it typically takes 5–10 business days to appear, although the bank or payment method can take longer. This refund process does not limit rights provided by applicable law.

Send a useful bug report

Include the CachePal app version, watch model, Wear OS or watchOS version, what you expected, what happened, and the shortest steps that reproduce it. A screenshot is helpful when you are comfortable sharing one. You do not need to send your CP1 DNA or exact steps.
